Nothing will ever happen to me…I am indestructible! Sound familiar?
Prior to 2017, I too thought I was indestructible, and nothing would ever happen to me.
Unfortunately, in 2017 the unexpected did happen to me and overnight my world was turned upside down.
Suddenly I became dependent on Steven & Ella 24/7 as I was unable to walk or do much for myself – we later found out I had Fibromyalgia. Our finances were stretched as I couldn’t work, and our relationship was tested as we proceeded through a time filled with fear and uncertainty.
Why am I telling you this?
Because I said no to protecting my income in case I was unable to work due to accident or sickness. I said I couldn’t afford it and I didn’t need it as I would always be able to work.
How wrong and naive was I.
That one decision could have removed some of the stress and worry Steven & I struggled through in 2017/2018.
